Let's take it from the top
The day started in a suitably disorganised fashion. Despite clear instructions to turn up at 11.00 precisely, I turned up at 11.05 – citing Central Line foulage – and Alan was a full ten minutes late. His excuse was that he had spent the previous night getting lagged on a heady fix of Duval, or some such Belgian beer, and was feeling entirely rank. He was a man quite clearly in need of a pint.

Given our 45-minute schedule for each pub, this initial delay meant we had to scooch our asses to King's Cross with haste. But first, naturally, we accosted some hapless passer-by and asked her to take the first photo of the day, for which it seems we all adopted rugby club-style poses. (Note the "Escalator problems at this station" poster behind us, which is, quite literally, a sign of the times with regard to today's London Underground.)

Thirsting for a beer
The class of '00

With the photographic formalities out of the way, we were ready to begin in earnest.

To get the most out of this virtual pub crawl, I suggest that you have a crate of beer to hand, and drink one can per stop. Once you've got back from the fridge and are sitting comfortably, we can proceed together to relive L2K.

Before setting out, I would like to thank our sponsors, without whose support L2K would not have been possible:

And now, once you've made sure your speakers are turned up loud: advance to King's Cross St Pancras.

Note: sound is obviously dependent on which browser you're using, and whether you actually have a sound card...
