The rules
There were a number of strict rules that applied to all participants of L2K. They can be summarised as follows:

NO SITTING ON THE TUBE
NO SHIRKING OF FORFEITS
NO WETHERSPOONS
NO HALVES
NO HEAVY PETTING
NO ANIMAL FOULING

For the most part these should be self-explanatory, but the reference to "forfeits" needs some clarification. These were not so much "forfeits" in the sense of strip poker, or even strip canasta; they were more along the lines of "novelty rounds", for which we couldn't think up any better name (although perhaps we could have just called them "novelty rounds"). Issues of nomenclature aside, the basic idea was that there would be six forfeit rounds "peppered" among the 16 stops of the crawl. Conveniently, there were six people on the crawl, so we had one forfeit round each. Pad had prepared some ingenious Blind Date-style envelopes, which would be opened at various points by the L2K participants.

As it was, due to reasons of disorganisation, we only managed to carry out five of the six forfeits – you can read about the "hilarious consequences" of these rounds as you undertake your virtual crawl. The one which we didn't do was "Jukebox Jury": the person whose round it was would have to put on the songs chosen by the other participants, no matter how embarrassing. Sadly, by the time this forfeit was chosen, the pubs were far too busy (it was, after all, a Saturday night in "London's famous West End"), so any selections would not have come on while we were in the pub.
